Apogee, an Austin, Texas-based higher education’s provider of residential network (ResNet) services, acquired Campus Televideo (CTV), a Stamford, CT-based provider of higher education video services.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Apogee’s acquisition aims to create a new combined entity that will offer comprehensive and advanced networking and video services in higher education.
Formerly a venture capital-backed company, CTV, now a division of Apogee, offers tailored video services, IPTV and streaming solutions for the delivery of authenticated entertainment, educational and custom content.
Led by Chuck Brady, chief executive officer, Apogee provides on-campus residential networks (ResNet) and video solutions that allow colleges and universities to enhance their network infrastructure and video services while offloading administrative responsibilities associated with managing a student network.
