Refrigerant Solutions (RefSols), a Liverpool, UK-based provider of an environmentally-friendly range of refrigerant gases, received a £750k investment.
Backers included The North West Fund for Mezzanine Financing, managed by Enterprise Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to create a number of senior technical and sales jobs and grow globally.
Founded in 2004 by award-winning inventor John Poole, Refrigerant Solutions provides replacements for the ozone-depleting gases which are used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
It provides drop in replacements for all of these gases, which require no changes to the equipment with and are compatible with existing lubricants.
