10X Genomics, a Pleasanton, CA-based provider of a genomics platform, raised $55.5M in its Series B financing.
The round was led by Foresite Capital Management with participation from Venrock, as well as new and existing investors Paladin Capital Group and funds managed by Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
Led by founder and CEO Serge Saxonov, PhD, CSO Ben Hindson, PhD, and CTO Kevin Ness, PhD, 10X Genomics is commercializing a new genomics platform which allows researchers to find structural variants, haplotypes, and other valuable long range information while leveraging existing sequencing workflows for a broad range of applications including targeted, exome, and whole genome sequencing. It integrates into existing workflows.
The company has raised a total of more than $80m to date.
