Scripted Raises $9M in Series B Financing

scriptedScripted.com, a San Francisco-based tech startup that provides written content on demand, raised $9M in Series B financing.

The round was led by Storm Ventures with participation from existing investors Crosslink Capital and Redpoint Ventures as well as new angel investors Gil Penchina — who runs the largest syndicate on AngelList — Auren Hoffman (founder of LiveRamp) and Justin Moore (CEO of Axcient). In conjunction with the funding, Tae Hea Nahm — a founding Managing Director of Storm Ventures — will join Scripted’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to increase its writers community while focusing on improving the product and technology.

Led by Sunil Rajaraman, CEO and Co-founder, Scripted operates a tech platform that delivers written content to customers via a community of thousands of vetted and selected freelance writers. To date, the company has paid the writers in its community over $2 million and has delivered over 37 million words for its clients.
