Adatao, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based big data company, closed a Series A funding.
The round, which reportedly amounted to $13m (read here), was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners and Bloomberg Beta. In conjunction with the funding, Peter Levine of Andreessen Horowitz joined Adatao’s board while Marc Andreessen joined as a Board Observer.
Led by Christopher T. Nguyen, CEO and Co-Founder, Adatao provides:
– pInsights, which allows people to interact with their data in an interactive format and produce embedded analytics to assist with decision making and collaboration;
– pAnalytics, allows data scientists and engineers to deal with big-data analytics.
