Rocket Internet has launched SpaceWays, a new on-demand storage service, in London.
For £6 per month, the company provides customers with a large heavy-duty box and a free pick-up service to bring items to a self-storage location. Boxes can be returned for £19 and delivery can be arranged for a convenient time for the customer. The company works with professional drivers and all items are stored in SpaceWays’ CCTV-monitored storage facility just outside the city.
Led by David Fuchs, Rob Rebholz and Martin Twellmeyer, SpaceWays allows customers to go to www.spaceways.co.uk and indicate how many storage boxes they need or which items they want to store. Drivers then will deliver heavy-duty containers to home. When customers have finished packing, the boxes are collected and stored in SpaceWays’ secure CCTV-monitored facility just outside London.
The service is for students, young professionals, families as well as for businesses looking for a convenient solution to archive their files.
Currently active in London, SpaceWays will launch in further British cities and other markets in the near future.
