Mixify Raises $1.8M in Series A Funding

mixifyMixify, a Brooklyn, NY-based interactive livestreaming platform that connects artists with fans, raised $1.8m in Series A funding.

Backers included CMB Capital, Tim McGee and Richard Mergler of Ministry of Sound Australia and DJ Tommy Trash.

Founded by David Moricca, Mixify develops technology that supports both web-based and in-venue experiences, allowing DJs to share their music via livestreaming to Mixify.com or broadcasting live sets into physical venues around the world.
The company has just introduced Clubcast, which allows artists to livestream exclusive sets into venues around the world.
In its six months of beta testing within more than 15 different markets, it has focused on partnering venues with DJs such as Tommy Trash, Bassjackers and Firebeatz and has livestreamed internationally, covering locations such as Buenos Aires, Argentina and The Cayman Islands.
