Roojoom Closes $600k Seed Funding

Roojoom cover pageRoojoom, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based startup that offers a web presentation tool, closed a $600k seed funding round.

Backers included 2B Angels and private angel investors. Ronen Smooha, former MS executive and a managing partner in 2B-Angles, joined the round as an investor after working with the company as a mentor at the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop its product offerings for businesses.

Founded in March 2013 by Yuval Shemesh (CEO), Rami Ricanati (CPO) and Or Meirov (CTO), Roojoom provides a platform that allows users to build a dynamic live presentation utilizing content from across the web as well as created content, in less than 5 minutes. They say that they increase the time people is engaged on a website from 20-40 seconds to over 9 minutes.
Current customers include international companies Microsoft Ventures, Clarizen and eToro, as well as major banks and publishers.

The team includes a total of 7 employees.
