mParticle, a NYC-based mobile data platform, closed a $3m venture capital financing.
The round was led by Bowery Capital with participation from Google Ventures, Greylock Partners and angel investors Nasir Jones (Nas), Malcolm Chace Jr., Bryan Berard, Michael Barrett, Michael Walrath, Michael Lazerow, and Lars Albright, among others.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its core team.
Founded by CEO Michael Katz, Andrew Katz, Dave Myers, and Jason Lynn, mParticle provides a platform that allows app owners to control their data assets (ownership, activation, and attribution) while freeing them from managing numerous integration partners and launching new partners and campaigns.
The solution is in beta and already working with a select group of app owners.
