Loom Raises $1.4M in Seed Funding

Loom, a San Francisco-based provider of a photo and video library unified in one place, raised $1.4m in seed funding.

The company intends to use the funds to continue building and developing the platform.

Backers included Tencent, Google Ventures (MG Siegler), Great Oaks VC and angels Will Smith (Overbrook Entertainment), and Damon Way (founder of DC Shoes).

Co-founded by Jan Senderek, Philipp Wein and Daniel Wagner, Loom is a personal photo and video cloud storage solution. The app is officially opening to the public today. It is free up to 5 GB, and it’s available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with more devices coming soon.
