Sentinel Capital Partners, a New York, NY-based private equity firm that invests in lower middle market companies, held the close of its Fund V at $1.3bn.
Sentinel Capital Partners V’s investors include institutions in the United States, Europe, Japan, China, and Australia, and also include college and university endowments, foundations, state and government retirement systems, corporate pension plans, diversified financial institutions, insurance companies, investment advisors, and Taft Hartley plans.
Led by David S. Lobel, founder and managing partner, and John F. McCormack, co-founder, Sentinel will continue to focus on acquiring companies with up to $35m in EBITDA and solid businesses fundamentals, in industries aerospace/defense, business services, consumer, distribution, food/restaurants, franchising, healthcare, and industrials, as well as on add-on acquisitions for its portfolio companies.
