Zalora Receives $100M in Funding

Zalora, an online fashion store focused on South-East Asia, has received $100m in funding.

Backers included Summit Partners, Investment AB Kinnevik, Verlinvest and Tengelmann Group.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and grow its presence in South-East Asia.

Led by Michele Ferrario, Managing Director, Zalora offers  a huge collection of fashion items for men, kids and women from local brands such as Jovian, VINCCI, Ms.Read and Blook, as well as international brands such as Steve Madden, Converse, Nike and Cheap Monday.

Backed by Berlin-based Rocket Internet, the company received an investment by J.P. Morgan Asset Management in September 2012 (read here).
It is currently present in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
