AlephCloud Closes $7.5M Series B Financing

AlephCloud, a Sunnyvale, CA-based startup developing a new technology for managing content privacy and provenance in public clouds, closed a $7.5m Series B financing.

The round, which brings the total amount AlephCloud has raised to date to $9.5m, was led by Handbag, LLC. Handbag’s founder Seth Neiman, a former Crosspoint general partner, joined the company’s board of directors.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Jieming Zhu and CTO Roy D’Souza, AlephCloud develops a SaaS solution allows large enterprises to have visibility and control of corporate documents shared in the cloud for compliance, governance, and risk avoidance.
The company was just selected for Orange Fab, the technology accelerator program managed by Orange Silicon Valley.
