AgroSavfe Receives €5M in Funding

AgroSavfe, a Gent, Belgium-based green biotech company, recently received €5m in funding.

Backers included Gimv, which invested €2m via the Gimv-Agri+ Investment Fund, and VIB, Sofi, PMV, QBIC and some other venture capitalists, which invested together €3m.

A spin-off of the VIB department of the Free University of Brussels, AgroSavfe will focus on the research and development of innovative formulations of crop protection products by means their Agrobody technology.

Led by CEO Marnix Peferoen, the company will be based in the VIB Bio-incubator in the technology park in Ghent, where it will employ 9 people.
