Sonic Notify, a New York, NY- and Los Angeles, CA-based developer of technology that delivers content to mobile devices through sound waves, has closed a $4.25m Series A financing.
The round was led by Raptor Ventures, with participation from A-Grade Investments, Advancit Capital, AngelVision Investors, DEV (Digital Entertainment Ventures), Eniac Ventures, and The Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency, among others.
Led by Jonathan Glanz, CEO, Sonic Notify provides a platform that enables media to be delivered to mobile devices through sound waves. The patent pending technology enables the communication of data in an ultra high-frequency, imperceptible range between any speaker and microphone, such as a television, radio, or stadium, and across any broadcast medium including cable, satellite, and internet streaming.
The company also provides a content programming interface and SDKs (Software Development Kits) to integrate its technology into both iOS and Android apps.
