CENX, Inc., a Winnetka, IL-based provider of Carrier Ethernet interconnect systems and services, has raised $9.5m in funding.
The round was led by Verizon Investments LLC, a subsidiary of Verizon Communications Inc., and Mesirow Financial Private Equity, Inc., with participation from current investors DCM, Highland Capital Partners, and Wasatch.
The company intends to use the capital to increase system, engineering and support resources.
