Xfire, a Santa Monica, Calif. and Shanghai, China-based online community platform that transports gamers’ social networks into thousands of PC games, secured an additional $3m in funding to continue its expansion into Asian territories.
The round was led by IDM Venture Capital.
The company intends to use the funding to continue to add new features and support as it is adapting its services for the Asian markets.
Led by CEO Malcom CasSelle, Xfire provides online gamers with the tools to take screenshots, record video, chat across multiple games and share content to social networks in a free streamlined application. The company recently announced partnership with CHINA YOUTH GOYOR TECHNOLOGY (BEIJING) CO., LTD., which is bringing its service to more than 400 million gamers in Asia.
