UrgentRx Closes $3M Series B Financing Round

UrgentRx, a Denver, Colorado-based start-up provider of over-the-counter medications in a powder format available in single-dose, credit card-sized packets, has closed on a $3m Series B round of financing.

The round was led by JUMP Investors.

The company intends to use the funding to further expand its retail distribution, product portfolio and marketing efforts.

Founded by entrepreneur Jordan Eisenberg in 2010, UrgentRx sells its products in grocery chains, convenience stores, mass merchandisers and pharmacies throughout Colorado, Iowa, Washington state and Oregon, as well as through online retailers such as amazon.com, walgreens.com and drugstore.com. The company is developing and preparing to launch a new product in the latter half of 2012 – UrgentRx Allergy Relief to Go™.
