3ality Digital, a Burbank, CA-based provider of 3D production technology and specialized equipment to the film and television industry, has received a a majority investment of undisclosed amount from Clearlake Capital Group, L.P.3ality management also participated in the transaction. Steve Schklair, founder of the company, will continue to serve as CEO.
3ality Digital intends to use the proceeds from the investment to continue to develop its technologies.
Chaired by David Modell, the company provides camera platforms, stereo image processing systems and stereoscopic 3D (S3D) image scaling technologies, which allow the production of S3D on a 2D schedule and are used by networks, production companies, studios and consumer electronics manufacturers.
