Vurve, a Mountain View, CA-based provider of a tool that enable small businesses to manage online advertising across multiple channels, has secured $4.5m in Series A financing.
The round was led by Spark Capital, with participation from Dave McClure and True Ventures.
As also stated by founder and CEO Amit Kumar, Vurve intends to use the funds to scale its business and build out a team of professionals who are passionate about the online ad marke.
In conjucntion with the funding, the company also expanded its board of advisors to include:
– Matt Ackley, head of product, Search and Analytics, Google;
– Jan Pedersen, chief scientist, Microsoft Bing; and
– Umang Gupta, CEO, Keynote Systems.
Starting at $200 per month, Vurve provides a tool to manage online advertising across multiple channels including search, display, social media, shopping engines and others.
It is designed to allow a small business to effectively run an online advertising campaign by simply inputting the desired budget.
In turn, Vurve automatically determines the right media channels and provides an estimated number of visitors, page views, and the predicted sales that a given budget will achieve.
