Podio, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company that operates a connected work platform allowing employees and professionals to work and interact, secured $4m in Series A funding. The rounds was led by Sunstone Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop the product and hire key employees.
Led by CEO Tommy Ahlers, Podio provides a highly-customizable web-based work environment that is used to answer a wide variety of needs – from company intranets and extranets, project management and recruiting solutions, to CRM, business intelligence and company-wide social platforms. The company targets teams, companies and organizations worldwide.
Podio is currently in private commercial beta phase.
