SandForce Inc., a Saratoga. CA-based provider of storage and networking technologies, announced that it has closed a $21m Series C funding.
The round was led by TransLink Capital, with participation from UMC Capital, LSI Corporation, Red Maple Ventures, Darwin Ventures, and A-Data Technology, DCM, Storm Ventures, and Tier-1 storage OEMs.
SandForce is transforming data storage using commodity flash memory in enterprise and mobile computing applications with its SSD (Solid State Drive) Processors.
Commenting on the funding, Alex Naqvi, president and CEO of the company, said: “This new funding will help us through our expansion phase as well as accelerate our new products development that will help us maintain our market leadership”.
