IHS Markit (NYSE: INFO), a London, UK-based provider of critical information, analytics and solutions, acquired Novation Analytics, a Auburn Hills, Michigan-based specialist provider of software solutions, data analysis and advisory services to the automotive industry.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition will enable IHS Markit to scale capabilities and bring new solutions to the market beyond the CO2 emissions sector.
Led by Greg Pannone and Heidi Schroeder, Novation Analytics focuses on the modelling of vehicle energy efficiency and CO2 emissions compliance.
