Maverick Gaming Acquires Several Casinos

Maverick Gaming, LLC, a Las Vegas, Nevada-based company operating several casinos, has acquired several casinos in the Washington and Nevada areas since June 2019.

Even if challenged by online (as an example, have a look at gamespromo.codes), and virtual reality (VR), which are expected to continue to groww their industry share out of the total, offline gambling remained the largest segment of the casino market by sales channel in 2018 at 94.3% (according to Research and Markets).

In this scenario, Maverick Gaming, which was founded and is majority owned by gaming industry veterans Eric Persson, who previously served as Global SR Vice President of Slots at Las Vegas Sands, and Justin Beltram, former Vice President of Slots at Bellagio and Marina Bay Sands, has signed several deals in the latest three months.

In Washington, the acquisitions include:
– Wizards Casino in Burien Washington,
– the Macau Casino in Lakewood, the Macau Casino in Tukwilla, and the Caribbean Casino in Kirkland, the Caribbean Cardroom in Kirkland, and the Caribbean Casino in Yakima, which give eighteen card rooms in Washington and nearly 275 table games in that market;
– Roman Casino located in Renton Washington, which give thirteen card rooms and nearly 200 table games;
– Great American Gaming Corporation (a US affiliate of Great Canadian Gaming Corporation), whose assets include three cardrooms located in Everett, Tukwila and Lakewood.
– Nevada Gold & Casinos, Inc. (NYSE: UWN) via a merger between Nevada Gold and a wholly owned subsidiary of Maverick established for that purpose at a final price of $2.559333 for each share of Nevada Gold common stock. The purchase includes nine card rooms in Washington, with seven in the Seattle area.

In Northern Nevada, Maverick acquired the Red Lion Casino, Gold Country Casino and High Desert Inn.

Together, Persson and Beltram bring over 30 years of gaming experience spanning gaming markets around the world including the Las Vegas Strip (Venetian, Palazzo, Bellagio), Macau (Sands China Limited), Singapore (Marina Bay Sands), and many regional markets in North America.

Currently, Maverick Gaming owns seventeen casino and card rooms in Nevada and Washington State with approximately 1,500 slot machines, over 225 table games and 1,200 hotel rooms nationwide. In the next month, the company expects to announce the purchase of four additional card rooms in Washington, as well as another property in Nevada.
Once all of the above deals close, Maverick Gaming expects to be at 31 casinos in multiple states and jurisdictions.
