Lunar Way, a Aarhus, Denmark-based banking app for millenials, raised €26m in funding.
The round was led by Seed Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations, launch new products, and grow in the Swedish and Norwegian markets as well as in the native Danish one.
Founded in 2015 by CEO Ken Villum Klausen, Lunar Way provides a freelance business and consumer banking app, with features including:
- spending alerts,
- money transfers,
- bill payment tools, as well as
- credit cards.
The company has also obtained a European banking license from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, which will enable it to launch loans, insurance policies, and multi-currency cards, among other products.
Lunar Way also has an office in Copenhagen.
