Licentia Group Ltd, a London, UK-based technology services and IP licensing company, closed £15m (USD$20m) in Series B funding.
The company intends to use the funds to facilitate global expansion to scale Sales, Support and Technical Development teams in London and in Cardiff.
Led by Philip King, Chairman and CEO, Licentia is the owner of:
– Mypinpad Ltd, a global leader in payment acceptance and customer authentication software solutions, and
– Myhsm Ltd, a provider of a dedicated direct hosting service of Thales payShield Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) for the global Payments sector.
Mypinpad’s Open mPOS cloud hosted solution enables Merchants, Acquirers and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to deploy PIN on Mobile (PoM) technologies without the need to undergo their own PCI SPoC certification.
