As minority investors, Shamrock, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm that invests in established but growing companies in media, entertainment and communications, will work with Wpromote to expand its presence with high-growth mid-market brands that are looking to scale digital marketing.
Started in 2001 by CEO Michael Mothner, Wpromote is an independent digital agency that utilizes integrated search, mobile, and social marketing tactics to challenge its clients’ top competitors.
Clients include brands like Providence Health & Services, Frontier Airlines, Z Gallerie, Bronto Software, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, United Bank, Omni Hotels & Resorts, and Forever 21.
The company, which has completed three acquisitions in the past 18 months, has a team of 350 people across eight offices in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Dallas.
