Sawyer Secures $6m in Funding

Sawyer, a Brooklyn, NY-based edtech startup, secured $6m in funding.

The round was led by Advance Venture Partners with participation from Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, 3311 Ventures, Collaborative Fund and Female Founders Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform and expand operations.

Led by co-founder and CEO Marissa Evans Alden, Sawyer provides Sawyer Tools, a proprietary software platform which gives education providers across the US access to scheduling, payment, and communication software to grow and scale their own businesses and reach more students as well as parents a way to plan and book their child’s educational classes and camps.
