Bitcoin.com.au, a Melbourne, Australia-based bitcoin exchange, raised $815k in Series A funding.
Backers included Alium Capital and Dominet Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to expand overseas operations in the UK and Canada.
Founder and CEO Rupert Hackett, Bitcoin.com.au offers both online and physical bitcoin exchange services in Australia. The Bitcoin Service allows subscribers to create order by providing an email, mobile number and wallet address, make a deposit via 1200 deposit locations and receive Bitcoins instantly.
