Kontor, a New York City-based market network for commercial interior design, raised $4.6m in venture capital.
Backers included BBG Ventures, Female Founders Fund, FF Angel, and Wellington Partners.
The company will use the funds to continue to expand operations.
Led by Mia Lewin, CEO, Kevin Ryan, Chairman, Andy Parsons, CTO, and Tom Melcher, Kontor operates a visual workflow tool for commercial design professionals to discover trends, collect inspiration, and share ideas. It contextually connects projects with products on a rich, image-based platform.
The company has partnered with 600 design firms (including HOK, IA Interior Architects, Perkins + Will, STUDIOS Architecture, HomePolish, Bestor Architecture, Geremia Design) and brands (Herman Miller, Knoll, Fritz Hansen, Tom Dixon, Heartwork, Secto, etc.)
