BDEX, LLC, (formerly known as Big Data Exchange) a Seattle, WA, and Coral Springs, FL-based marketplace for data, raised $1.7m in seed financing.
The backers remained undisclosed.
In addition to the funding, the company appointed two new advisors to its management team: Craig Fleischman and Michael Nassirian.
Craig Fleischman is a technology leader and engineer with more than 25 years of experience developing innovative products. His background includes experience in product management, operations, engineering, customer satisfaction and quality.
Prior to his role on BDEX’s advisory team, Fleischman served as an executive leader at Microsoft holding product and technology positions that included: Microsoft Office, Enterprise Hardware & Products, Microsoft Windows, Mobile Device Management solutions, and Public Cloud services.
Michael Nassirian is a Partner-level Devices and Networking Test Manager with almost 19 years experience at Microsoft. Prior to Nassirian’s role at Microsoft, he applied his engineering background in a Test Manager capacity at Texas Instruments.
Led by co-founder and CEO David Finkelstein, BDEX is a Data Exchange Platform (DXP) combining all of the functionality, data and reach of a traditional DMP which allows customers to purchase quality scored 3rd party data insights on consumer activity.
