Sarvint Technologies Completes $6M Series A Financing

sarvintSarvint Technologies, Inc., an Atlanta, Georgia-based wearables technology company, completed a $6m Series A round of financing.

The round was led by CTW Venture Partners with participation from Monta Vista Capital and Maxim Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop and commercialize its Wearable Motherboard™ technology.

Co-founded by Sundaresan Jayaraman, Ph.D., and Sungmee Park and also led by Palaniswamy Rajan and Jay Yadav, M.D., Sarvint has developed Wearable Motherboard™ (Smart Shirt), a garment that uses special fibers to detect and monitor body vital signs (such as heart rate, electrocardiogram, temperature, respiration rate and other health metrics that can be monitored by a smartphone) which will be commercially available later this year.
In addition to the funding, the company has also entered into a strategic alliance with Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. (NASDAQ: MXIM) to bring its products to market.
