MamaBear Acquires KidNotice

mamabearMamaBear, a Santa Monica, CA-based mobile application and digital resource for protecting and connecting families in the digital age, acquired KidNotice, an application that allows parents to privately and securely share vital emergency and personal information about their children with other parents and trusted care givers.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The Kid Notice iPhone app was developed to share, in case of emergency and only by invitation, kids’ profile privately within the care provider network, including other parents, teachers, coaches, nannies, grandparents etc. If an emergency occurs and parents cannot be reached, it will provide caregivers the information needed to respond quickly.

The acquisition will allow MamaBear to continue to expand the capabilities of the platform. Parents using their app will soon be able to share with other parents, trusted adults and care givers information to ensure their children’s safety and well-being.

Led by Suzanne Horton, Chief Executive Officer and President, MamaBear is a mobile parenting app that creates a private family communication platform providing parents with tools to communicate, locate, organize and protect their children in the social and digital media age. It offers a set of social media monitoring features, family mapping, alerts and reputation management tools, as well as alerts to cyber threats toward their children.
The app is available on iTunes and Google Play.
