HealthMyne, Inc., a Madison, Wis.-based early stage healthcare informatics company, raised $4.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Venture Investors and 4490 Ventures with additional participation from HealthX Ventures and angel investors.
The company will use the funds to expand and accelerate product development, regulatory, and commercialization efforts.
Founded in 2013 by Rock Mackie, HealthMyne focused on providing novel search, analytics, and imaging (SAI) solutions to cancer care providers. Its SAI technology provides physicians with enhanced tumor image manipulation, as well as EHR and image repository search capabilities for diagnosing and treating similar cases. The first product, planned to launch later this year, will allow clinicians to detect and diagnose lung nodules as part of a comprehensive low dose CT lung screening program.
