Alice Secures $3M in Seed Funding

aliceAlice, a NYC-based mobile platform for guests to engage with hotel services and staff to manage all requests, secured $3m in seed funding.

The round was led by Tishman Realty Principles and the Founders of NeueHouse with participation from 645 Ventures – a new VC founded by Nnamdi Okike, a former principal at Insight Ventures – as well as the founding team of Seamless Web: Jason Finger, Todd Arky and Paul Appelbaum.

The company intends to use the funds to advance product development, expand the team and continue to scale operations.

Created in 2013 by Alex Shashou, President, and Justin Effron, CEO, Alice provides a mobile service-on-demand platform for the hospitality industry. The platform allows guests to discover and request hotel amenities and services from their digital devices, and staff to improve the property’s operational efficiencies through a back-end task management and analytics platform. It can integrate into existing hotel systems and workflows of various departments, such as housekeeping, concierge and F&B.
Customers include hotel groups Shangri-La’s Hotel Jen, Bespoke Hotels, The Setai, The Gansevoort Group, Standard Hotels and Sixty Hotel Group currently.
