According to a SEC filing (read here), Menlo Park, Calif.-based venture capital firm Khosla Ventures is raising a $400m seed fund.
The name of issuer is Khosla Ventures Seed C, L.P.
Founded in 2004 by former General Partner at Kleiner Perkins and founder of Sun Microsystems Vinod Khosla, Khosla Ventures provides venture capital to entrepreneurs to extend the potential of their ideas in scientific work in clean technology areas such as bio-refineries for energy and bioplastics, solar, battery and other environmentally friendly technologies as well as traditional venture areas like the Internet, computing, mobile and silicon technology arenas.
