Uversity Raises Additional Financing

uversityUversity, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an enrollment management tool for the higher education market, raised an additional funding round.

Backers included Learn Capital, which joined previous investors Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Retro Venture Partners.

The company, which has raised $11.4m since its 2007 founding, intends to use the funds to advance the capabilities of its predictive modeling technology with the addition of institutional data and CRM integrations, explore opportunities to engage high schools students and counselors through the pre-college application process and accelerate its iPhone, iPad and Android app development.

Led by Jamie Glenn, CEO, Uversity provides mobile and data solutions for admissions professionals to engage their prospective students and for students to make informed decision regarding college choice by creating mobile technology that connects them with the right information and people during the admissions process.

The company partners with more than 140 institutions, including Syracuse University, University of Oregon, Stony Brook University and Northwest Arkansas Community College.
