Carmel Ventures Closes Fourth Venture Capital Fund at $194M

Carmel Ventures, an Israeli venture capital firm, closed its latest investment fund, at $194m.

Raised with equity commitments from exisiting and new investors including Baidu, Ping-An, and Qihoo360 amongst others, Carmel Ventures IV focuses on investing in early-stage technology companies in high growth sectors that include enterprise software, data center infrastructure, big data, cyber security, FinTech, digital media and consumer applications.

Led by Shlomo Dovrat, Avi Zeevi, Ori Bendori, Ronen Nir, Daniel Cohen and Itzik Avidor, the fund has investded in PlayBuzz, LuckyFish and three other technology companies.

Carmel Ventures currently manages over $800 million of investor capital in 35 active companies.
