Sobrr Raises $1.1M in Seed Funding

Sobrr, an Emeryville, CA-based social networking app, raised $1.1m in seed funding.

The round was led by IDG Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to add new features to the platform and make it available in multiple languages. While currently only available on iOS, Sobrr will first be released in beta mid-September.

Founded in 2014 by Bruce Yang and Vivian Xu, Sobrr is a social networking app with temporary 24-hour features.
Photos, messages, and friends on Sobrr can expire in 24 hours.
