IDG Capital Partners Closes $586M Tech Venture Capital Fund

Chinese venture capital firm IDG Capital Partners closed a $586m fund.

Limited Partners in IDG China Venture Capital Fund IV included existing and new investors such as Breyer Capital, the global investment and venture philanthropy firm founded by Jim Breyer.

Formed in 1993 by Hugo Shong, Founding General Partner, IDG China Venture Capital Fund IV focuses on making early-stage technology, media and telecom (TMT) investments in China.

The firm has more than 300 companies in its portfolio, including Baidu, Tencent, Qihoo 360, Sohu, Soufun, Ctrip, Kingdee, 91 Wireless, Xiaomi and CreditEase.
