Flywheel Sports, a NYC-based indoor cycling brand, received an equity investment of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by the Benvolio Group and Catterton Partners, with participation from Global Endowment Management and a number of consumer and real estate sector entrepreneurs.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate expansion both domestically and abroad.
Founded in 2010 by Creative Director Ruth Zukerman, CEO Jay Galluzzo, and David Seldin, Flywheel Sports
has 25 studios in the New York tri-state area, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle and South Florida, which feature stadium-style seating, custom engineered bikes and performance tracking technology.
This technology includes on-bike and in-studio displays that show real-time performance data, allowing riders to set goals and track their progress to achieve them.
