Smarter Remarketer, an Indianapolis-based provider of customer intelligence for multi-channel retailers, secured $7m in first venture financing.
The round was led by Battery Ventures. In conjuction with the funding, Battery General Partner Neeraj Agrawal is joining Smarter Remarketer’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth through 2014 and expand its customer intelligence platform.
Led by Howard Bates, president and CEO, Smarter Remarketer provides a customer intelligence driven marketing automation platform that allows retailers to engage any audience through relevant, business critical communications. Its SR2 platform allows retailers to send communication to visitors through multiple channels in order to reengage and drive sales. The company’s vendor inclusive solution unifies existing vendors across email, on-site messaging, social media and display ad.
Customers include large retail brands Eddie Bauer, SkyMall, Finish Line and Hugo Boss, among others.
