Sisense, a NYC-based provider of a platform that aims to simplify complex data business analytics, closed $50m Series D financing.
The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) with participation from existing investors (DFJ Growth, Battery Ventures, Genesis Partners and Opus Capital).
The company intends to use the funds to open a European office in the United Kingdom, where the majority of its European customers are headquartered, as well as to continue investment in innovation.
Led by CEO Amir Orad, Sisense provides business analytics software that allows business users to manage, analyze and visualize complex data within a single-stack environment, on commodity machines. The company says that its In-Chip™ analytics processes data 100X faster than competitive approaches, eliminating the need for data preparation, operational budgets or specialized IT skills.
Sisense serves more than a thousand direct and indirect customers in over 50 countries, including Motorola, Skullcandy and eBay.
It also has an office in Tel Aviv, Israel.
