Turin-based consulting group Eurogroup scarl acquired 100% of Piemonte High Technology srl (Piemontech), an investment firm focused on backing Piedmont, Italy-based tech startups.
Following the transaction, whose amount was not disclosed, Piemonte High Technology rebranded as Euroventures srl.
Founded in 2004, the firm will expand its geographical reach beyond Piedmont and the tech arena to add more traditional sectors.
To date, Piemontech has invested in APAvadis Biotechnologies Srl, DemItalia s.r.l., Glyconova, Lachesi s.r.l., Microwine, Rotalactis, Seac02 s.r.l, Skuola.network, VASS Technologies and Xanto Technologies Srl.
Eurogroup scarl adds Euroventures to controlled firms Eurfidi, Eurocons ed Euroenergy.
