Led by CEO Brad Pelo, i.TV provides a social TV and second screen platform that enables people to discover, watch and engage with television. Used by nearly 15 million people, i.TV also powers experiences for brands like AOL, Huffington Post, Entertainment Weekly and Nintendo. It recently acquired GetGlue, a second screen company.
Following the investment, DIRECTV will be integrating i.TV’s capabilities into its second screen app, which is scheduled to launch before the end of the year.
