LiveClips Receives Investment from DIRECTV

liveclipsLiveClips, a Stamford, CT-based provider of a workflow technology to create and deliver real-time video highlights and new sports content packages to fans, received an investment from DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) a provider of digital television entertainment services.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

Led by Lewis Bakes, Chairman and CEO, Wilson Lee, CFO and Executive Vice President, Brian Kalinowski, Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Piltz, Chief Information Officer, and David Weite, VP of Engineering, LiveClips provides a technology platform that aggregates live, post-game or archived sports feeds to create, digitize and deliver discrete searchable video clips of every play for delivery to linear broadcast and digital devices.
The company’s system delivers immediate personalized sports highlights for the DIRECTV NFL SUNDAY TICKET App experience.
