SmartestK12 Raised Funding from UCLA Venture Capital Fund

smartestk12SmartestK12, a Los Angeles, CA-based educational startup, raised funding from the UCLA Venture Capital Fund.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to accelerate into the commercialization and growth phase of the business.

Founded in 2013 by CEO Craig Jones and Kevin McFarland, SmartestK12 has developed a platform that allows teachers to interact with students and parents. It allows to assign and answer classroom materials on any device including iPads, computers or mobile devices as well as analyzes the results and reports.
