Wevorce Raises $1.7M in Seed Funding

wevorceWevorce, a San Mateo, CA-based mediation-enabling technology startup focused on divorces, raised $1.7m in seed funding.

Investors included Foundation Capital and Sam Altman.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations nationwide.

Co-founded by CEO Michelle Crosby and Jeff Reynolds, Wevorce leverages a web-based technology and a community of trained attorneys, counselors and experts to help couples divorce amicably. According to figures, it has handled more than 100 divorces and 99% of those have stayed out of court.
The company currently has 28 full-time staffers across 10 offices in the Western US in San Francisco, Oakland, and Palo Alto, CA, as well as Seattle, an Everett, WA and Boise, ID) and is continuing to hire ([email protected]).
