Trustev Closes $3M Seed Funding Round

Trustev, a Cork, Ireland-based provider of e-commerce security and online fraud protection technology, closed a $3m seed funding round.

Backers include US venture capital fund Greycroft Partners, Mangrove Capital Partners, ACT Venture Capital, Telefónica’s Wayra, and Enterprise Ireland.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop its technology, accelerate expansion to the US (where it will soon open an office in New York City).

Founded in 2012 by CEO Pat Phelan, Trustev provides an anti-fraud and payment protection solution that verifies the identity of online shoppers and fights fraud for e-commerce merchants, empowering them to do business in new markets and accept international payments.
