Lexity (formerly known as Vurve), a Mountain View, CA-based ecommerce startup, has been acquired by Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO)
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
Founded by CEO Amit Kumar, Lexity has developed a range of apps for businesses to improve sales. Its flagship product is Lexity Live, a free real time app for visitor tracking, analytics and insights for ecommerce.
The company’s app gallery offers marketing solutions to address advertising on multiple channels, set up a storefront on Facebook, real-time chats, etc.
It serves tens of thousands of customers across 114 countries.
Lexity will continue to run all of its apps, which will be renamed with Yahoo branding.
